Blog Link Love – Part I

The inspiration for a lot of what you read on this blog comes from that which inspires me. Books, nature, friends and family, experiences, art, and music all inspire me and my writings… one of the often overlooked influences on me and my writing are many of other blogs that I frequent and follow.

This write up features, in no particular order, 5 blogs that I frequent along with a breif author profile and why I feel compelled to follow them.  Watch for more blog love posts and, by all means, leave a comment with your blog link… I follow up on all comments and my visitors often follow these links as well.

Conscious Dynamics

Tanya Hay Ziegler is a certified life coach and writes regularly at her site, Conscious Dynamics Directional Coaching.  Tanya’s posts have often inspired me to take action towards achieving goals in my life. Her practical and no nonsense approach to coaching empowers her clients. Tanya offers free coaching sessions to prospective clients and an informative newletter (T’s Tidbits).  Engage Tanya by leaving a comment… you will love her energy and enthusiasm.  You can follow Tanya on Twitter at http://twitter.com/NRGCoachT.

Jungle of Life

If there’s one thing I have learned about Lance, the owner of Jungle of Life, it’s that we seem to have a whole lot in common.  I have written that recognition and acknowledgement of life’s challenges, real or perceived, is the first step in overcoming them.  Join Lance on life’s journey as we discover more about ourselves and tame the jungle we call life… and overcome those challenges.  Watch for Lance’s “Sunday Thought of the Day” every week and participate in active comments and discussion. You may follow Lance on Twitter at http://twitter.com/Lance02

Joyful Days

One blog I just recently started following is Joyful Days by Daphne.  Daphne’s posts contain practical, useful information and insight pertaining to finding happiness and abundance through personal development.  I love the organization and the presentation of information at Joyful Days… just click “START”! :)   You may follow Daphne on Twitter at http://twitter.com/JoyfulDays.

The Authentic Me

One of the first blogs I really started following on a regular basis was The Authentic Me by Andrew Thorn.  Andrew founded Telios Corp, a leadership development firm focused on using assessment, training and coaching to accelerate individual, team and organizational growth.  Andrew posts daily and always provides the reader with a practical and informative read.  You may follow Andrew on Twitter at http://twitter.com/andrewthorn.

Making Strategic Sense

Along with personal development, professional development, including acquiring the tools necessary to excel in business and raising the bar of service delivery, is something of great interest to me.  Making Strategic Sense, by Patti Dragland, provides the insight and information necessary to empower you to take action in leadership and customer service.  You may follow Patti on Twitter at http://twitter.com/strategicsense.

So, take a look and read a few posts.  I hope you find as much value in the information provided as I do… and don’t forget to LEAVE A COMMENT with your blog link!

Sincerely,
Darren Sproat

  • I just started blogging, but find that it’s cathartic. Blogging about the process of designing and not just what I’ve made is important to me. I design because I need to and I hope that the love and passion that goes in to each piece is felt by the owner.

    • Dawn,
Thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment. One of my sayings in life is to “energize your passion” and I can tell you that if you are passionate about what you do, then those around you – your customers, your friends, your family – will feel it.
I am going to check out your site…
Thanks again for stopping by and don’t hesitate to return!

  • Darren,

Like Lance, I feel deeply honoured and am glad that you find Joyful Days worth recommending to your friends.

Love the title of your blog – Keeping It Real is something I try to do too, instead of getting carried away by the fluffy personal development stuff.

    • Tanya,
The honour is mine. The sites I showcase in this, and future blog link posts, will be those that truly add value to what I am doing on a day to day basis… be it career coaching and mentoring or empowering someone to see the next steps in achieving that next big goal. They are sites that I believe will also provide inspiration and/or motivation, or be of interest to my readers.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for leaving the comment… I am looking forward to your next post.
      :)
